We had a wonderful Christmas, Giles and family, Angela and all the dogs. I sleep in the family room in the basement with the dogs, although eventually the dogs migrate to their respective "daddys" bedsides. Clover is in a kennel at night but when she is let out in the morning she thinks that she needs to join me in bed. I'm not used to having a dog around who is nimble enough to get on a bed without help..lol.
Christmas was great, we were all spoiled, we went to church on Christmas Eve, it was a little church in the village and Gi's girls were invited to be angels in the pagent. They weren't really sure about it, and I went to get their costumes just in case. Finally Olivia's inner star won over Emily's shyness and they got dressed and off they went. Their job was only to walk with the group of angels up to the front and back a couple of times, but it was so nice for them to include all the children who had come even thought they had never seen us before. Gi and I giggled in the pew as the angels went up the aisle, you sort of get a mental picture of a group of angels, what would that be called, maybe a "glide" of angels, or a "cloud" of angels, this was more like a "stomp" of angels all with their winter boots on. (note to self, when an angel appears, she might not sound like you are expecting, some might "stomp" into our lives.)
Boxing Day was pretty laid back which drives Gi nuts, thankfully Dad had build a snow hill in the front yard which kept the kids and dads busy and out of the way. That evening we went to the musical Scrooge at the local theatre, a christmas present to us all from Granny D. It was great, there were a few points in the show that the girls slid into the laps of the parent closest but we all really enjoyed the show and came out to pouring rain and lots of snow and ice... very weird.
